Overview

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee operations, business strategy, and execution across our Mobile Money Operator (MMO). The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in operations, process optimization, and leadership within the fintech or financial services sector.

As COO, you will be responsible for designing scalable processes, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving business growth while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. You will serve as a key advisor to the CEO and play a critical role in shaping the organization’s long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all business units to ensure efficiency and performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and customer experience.

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to shape overall business strategy.

  • Lead operational risk management and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Build and develop high-performing teams with a culture of accountability and innovation.

  • Champion the adoption of Lean Six Sigma and best practices for operational excellence.

  • Monitor KPIs and business performance metrics to ensure sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc./HND in a relevant field + Professional Certifications.

  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years in operations and strategy leadership roles, preferably in fintech, telecom, or financial services.

  • Age: 40 years & above.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong operational strategy and business execution skills.

    • Proven experience in scaling operations within a regulated industry.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making ability.

    • Proficiency in process improvement frameworks.

    • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
