Overview

We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technology strategy, infrastructure, and innovation roadmap of our Mobile Money Operator (MMO). The CTO will be responsible for driving digital transformation, ensuring system security, and positioning technology as a key enabler of growth.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with deep expertise in financial technology, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity, with a proven track record of building and scaling technology platforms in fintech or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the organization’s technology vision and roadmap.

• Oversee development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure digital platforms.

• Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

• Ensure cybersecurity and compliance with global data protection standards.

• Partner with business leaders to align technology strategy with corporate objectives.

• Build and mentor high-performing engineering and IT teams.

• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging technologies for adoption.

• Drive cloud adoption and ensure resilient, cost-effective infrastructure.

Requirements

• Education: B.Sc./HND in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field + MBA required.

• Experience: Minimum of 12 years in technology leadership, with at least 5 years in fintech or financial services.

• Age: 40 years & above.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, systems architecture, and IT governance.

  • Demonstrated success in leading technology-driven business transformation.

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to balance innovation with regulatory and compliance requirements.

• AWS Solutions Architect

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
