Facility Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facility Manager to oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all buildings, systems, and services operate effectively and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and organizational skills to maintain a productive and sustainable work environment while managing costs and optimizing resources.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring smooth functioning of utilities, building systems, and infrastructure.

  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a culture of safety across the organization.

  • Prepare and manage facility budgets, monitor operating costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors providing maintenance, security, cleaning, and other outsourced services.

  • Plan and manage office layouts, space utilization, and relocation projects to optimize operational efficiency.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance, safety, and operational excellence.

  • Implement sustainable practices and energy-saving initiatives to reduce environmental impact and operating costs.

  • Maintain up-to-date records of assets, service contracts, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Building Services, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in facility management or a similar role.

  • Strong technical understanding of building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC).

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and multiple service contracts effectively.

  • Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
