Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Settlement & Reconciliation Officer to manage transaction settlements and reconciliations within our Mobile Money Operator (MMO). The ideal candidate will have experience in financial reconciliations, payment operations, and issue resolution within fintech, telecom, or financial services.

As a Settlement & Reconciliation Officer, you will ensure accuracy, transparency, and timeliness in financial transactions, playing a critical role in maintaining trust and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily settlement and reconciliation of transactions across multiple platforms.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records, bank statements, and partner reports.

• Monitor settlement processes to ensure timeliness and accuracy.

• Escalate unresolved variances and follow through to resolution.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports for management.

• Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to streamline processes.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen reconciliation controls.

Requirements

• Education: B.Sc./HND/ND/NCE in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Experience: 3–5 years of reconciliation experience, preferably in fintech, banking, or financial services.

• Age: 30 years & above.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reconciliation tools.

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
